  • Compost City (available through the HawaiÊ»i State Public Library): This book is a fantastic resource for all types of composting.  It has step-by-step guides for closed-bin, worm bin, and bokashi composting.  Even better, it's focused on composting in close-quartered urban environments.

  • The University of Vermont's Master Composter class is open to out-of-state students.  They'll teach you everything you need to know to be a confident and competent backyard composter.
